The Central Oregon Independent Practice Association (COIPA) is a non-profit community of providers in Central Oregon and the Columbia Gorge established in 1992.
Since our founding, COIPA has grown to nearly 700 individual members in over 100 independent medical practices, ranging from solo providers to large multi-specialty groups. Our service area covers 40,000 square miles of Central Oregon and consists of a network of physicians and associate providers including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurse midwives. COIPA members demonstrate their commitment to high-quality healthcare participating in a wide range of state, regional, and IPA-led clinical quality reporting and incentive programs.
COIPA members are either Participating Physicians (MD, DO) or Associate Providers (PA, NP, CNM, CRNA, OD or DPM). They must have a current license to practice in Oregon or Washington, be a resident of a twelve-county region, and maintain a minimum level of malpractice insurance coverage. Additional membership conditions may apply including specialty-specific call sharing and/or maintaining hospital privileges within COIPA's service area.
